Seattle Mariners 1984-86: Signed by the Mariners as an amateur
free agent in 1979, Calderon debuted with the big club on August 10, 1984. He appeared in 115 games over parts of three seasons
in Seattle, belting 11 home runs. He was sent to Chicago on July 1, 1986 to complete a deal for Scott Bradley.

Chicago White Sox 1986-90: Calderon came into his own in 1987 with the Sox. The OF appeared in 144 games,
clouted a career high 28 HR, drove in 83, and posted a .293 average. After injuries limited him to 73 games in 1988, Calderon
came back to drive in 87 runs in 1989 and 74 in 1990. On December 23, 1990 the Sox sent the fan favorite to Montreal with
Barry Jones for Tim Raines and Jeff Carter.

Montreal Expos 1991-92: The Puerto Rico native hit .300, smacked 19 HR, drove in 75, stole a career high
16 bases, and made his only All Star appearance in 1991. The injury bug bit Calderon again in 1992, as he was limited to just
48 games. He was dealt to Boston on December 8, 1992 for Mike Gardiner and Terry Powers.
