Montreal Expos 1993-95: A 10th round pick of the Mets in 1986, Pride spent 7 seasons in the minor leagues of their organization. He was granted free agency following the 1992 season and was picked up by Montreal that December. He made his major league debut on September 14, 1993 and proceeded to hit .444 (4 for 9) that month.

Pride spent the 1994 season at Ottawa and began the 1995 season there, before returning to the Expos for a 48 game stint. He hit just .175 in 63 at bats and was released following the season.

Boston Red Sox 2000: Pride went to Spring Training with the Kansas City Royals in 1999, but was released on March 4. He eventually landed with the Nashua Pride of the independent Atlantic League. In January 2000, he inked a deal with the Mets organization, but was quickly traded back to Boston.

After a stint in Triple A Pawtucket, Pride was promoted to the Red Sox in June. He appeared in 9 games and hit .250 (5 for 20), but was released on July 8. Just 10 days later, Pride signed with the Dodgers and completed the season at Triple A Albuquerque before becoming a free agent.

New York Yankees 2003: Pride spent the 2002 season with Triple A Nashville in the Pittsburgh organization and was released again following the season. Unable to latch on with a major league organization early in 2003, he went back to Nashua and played well. In May he signed with the Yankee organization and was assigned to Triple A Columbus.

On July 4, Pride was called up to bolster the Yankees injury-riddled outfield. Two days later, his pinch hit home run sealed a victory over the rival Red Sox, and the crowd of 55,000 responded with a standing ovation. Pride's stay in the Bronx was short however, as he was sent back to Columbus on July 23 and finished the season there.

Currently, Curtis Pride is back on the free agent market. He hopes to catch on with a big league organization in 2004.
